A joint session of the Scientific Council of the ISL of the RAS and the Intellectual Rights Court was held

An enlarged joint session of the Scientific Council of the ISL of the RAS and the Intellectual Rights Court was held on June 10 of 2014 at the Institute.

Andrey Lisitsyn-Svetlanov, Director of the ISL of the RAS, Senior Partner of the Law Firm "YUST", opened the session.

Liudmila Alexandrovna Novoselova, Chairperson of the Intellectual Rights Court, Doctor-at-Law, Professor, Honorary Lawyer of the Russian Federation, delivered a report on the subject “Functions and tasks of the Intellectual Rights Court”. L.A.Novoselova in her report drew attention to the history of the Court’s creation, to its functions and objectives, and peculiarities of its competence. The matters concerning the publishing of the magazine for the Intellectual Rights Court and the creation of the Scientific Consultative Council for public discussion of topical issues and problems of law application were also covered.

The following persons took part in the discussion: Academician A.G.Lisitsyn-Svetlanov, Director of the ISL of the RAS; Professor V.G.Grafsky, Doctor-at-Law, Head of the Section of history of the State, law and political theories; Professor T.E.Abova, Head of the Sector of civil law, civil and arbitration proceedings of the ISL of the RAS, Doctor-at-Law, Honorary Lawyer of Russia; Professor A.S.Avtonomov, Chief Scientist of the Sector of international law studies, Doctor-at-Law; Advocate A.M.Kotova-Smolenskaya, Partner of the Law Firm "YUST", Doctor-at-Law; Advocate D.I.Shumskiy, Head of the Intellectual Property Group of the Law Firm "YUST".

In conclusion, Academician A.G.Lisitsyn-Svetlanov, Director of the ISL of the RAS, thanked L.A.Novoselova for her interesting report and expressed his hopes for a further cooperation.
