The conference “Bankruptcy - 2015-2016: experience of conducting, technologies and legal aspects”

On May 31, 2016 the conference “Bankruptcy - 2015-2016: experience of conducting, technologies and legal aspects” took place in Marriott Royal Aurora Hotel. The event was organized by Pravo.ru law portal and held in association with YUST Law Firm and Liniya Prava law office. The reason for organizing the conference were substantial changes to the Federal Law “On insolvency (bankruptcy)” that entered into force in 2015. The aforementioned amendments led to changes in the procedure of conducting bankruptcy cases, new risks and additional opportunities to protect the rights of creditors, as well as reinforcement of subsidiary liability of persons.
Partner of YUST Law Firm Alexander Bolomatov and senior lawyer of Liniya Prava law office Alexey Kostovarov were moderators of the conference.
Participants of the event discussed the present and future changes in bankruptcy legislation, as well as challenging of transactions with bankrupt debtors.
Reports were given by deputy chairman of the Economic Directorate of the Russian State Duma Dmitry Skripichnikov, head of the Directorate for Bankruptcy Proceedings of the Federal Tax Service of Russia Konstantin Chekmyshev, associate professor of commercial and corporate law department of Kutafin Law Institute Rustem Miftakhutdinov consultant of department for general issues of private law of the Private Law Research Institute Oleg Zaytsev and others.
