Managing partners of major law firms told Pravo.ru portal how to carry out business in the new economic environment and what practices will be in demand in the next few months.
Companies aim at diversification and are thinking of expanding the geographical area, which managing partner of YUST Law Firm Evgeny Zhilin confirms: “We managed to reinforce our positions in working with international clients. The German, Korean and Chinese practices are developing rapidly, we have acquired more than 50 new clients in these areas.”
Evgeny Zhilin sees potential for development in the field of business protection: “Certain activity can be observed in the corporate transactions market in the lower and mid-price segment. Assets fell in price by several times, and it is visible. Unfortunately, there is no reason to assume that during the crisis governmental pressure on businesses will loosen, therefore, such practices as administrative and criminal legal protection of business will be in demand.”
"The Russian legal services market is constantly changing, despite the crisis”, the lawyer is sure, “only now the changes happen somewhat faster”.
