Destruction of banned goods began in Russia

Managing Partner of the Law Firm "YUST" Evgeny Zhilin told Rossiyskaya Gazeta about the legal peculiarities of destruction of the goods under sanctions: “As far as international law is concerned, there are no international conventions governing the procedure of execution of embargos. International law is neutral towards the matter, implying that each state has sovereignty and may take its own decisions.
Meanwhile the experience of each national is radically different. Some states simply do not allow any importation and turn the goods back at the border. There are states that destroy banned goods".
