Gazprom filed a claim with Stockholm to exact $4,5 billion from Ukraine

Gazprom filed with the International Arbitration in Stockholm a claim against Naftogaz Ukrainy NJSC demanding the exaction of the debt in the amount of $4,5 billion from the company.

Naftogaz Ukrainy National Joint-Stock Company also filed with the International Arbitration in Stockholm a claim to exact $6 billion from Gazprom – the money paid to Gazprom in excess for the gas supplied to Naftogaz in 2010-2014.

According to Alexander Bolomatov, Partner of the Law Firm "YUST", since the claims were filed on the same day, they will likely be considered within the same proceedings.
