The author of the book – Yurgen Bazedov is an honourable LLD of a number of Universities, Master of Laws of Harvard University (USA), Director of Foreign and International Private Law Institute of Max Plank (Hamburg, Germany), Professor of Law of Hamburg University, General Secretary of International Academy of Comparative Law (2004-2008), Member of numerous Expert committees in Germany and European Union, Member of European Group on International Law and German Council on International Private Law.

Professor Bazedov is an author of more than 100 scientific works, including 30 monographs and numerous articles on the problems of International Private Law, Law of the European Union and Comparative Law. Several of his articles were translated into Russian.
