Labor inspectors will check the legality of dismissal of Alexander Pliuschev, journalist of the Echo Moskvy radio station. As it became known earlier, the management of the Gazprom-Media holding decided to fire A.Pliuschev for a breach of moral and ethical norms. However, Alexey Venediktov, the editor-in-chief of Echo Moskvy, declared on the air of Kommersant-FM that the radio anchorman was not leaving his position.

The labor inspectorate began checking the legality of the dismissal Alexander Pliuschev, journalist of the Echo Moskvy radio station. A.Pliuschev informed of his dismissal in his Twitter on Thursday. According to him, the decision was taken by the management of Gazprom-Media and Ekterina Pavlova, General Director of the radio station. Alexey Venediktov, editor-in-chief of the station, stated that it was a violation of the charter. A copy of an instruction by General Director Ekaterina Pavlova appeared on the website of the radio station on Friday. The document contained a request to the security service to ban the access of the anchorman to the building. В пятницу на сайте радиостанции появилась копия распоряжения генерального директора Екатерины Павловой. Alexey Venediktov, the editor-in-chief of Echo Moskvy, declared on the air of Kommersant-FM that the radio anchorman was not leaving his position not now, and not in the future <...>

The bases for the dismissal given to A.Pliuschev cannot be the reason for firing. Such is the opinion of Alexander Ksenofontov of the Law Firm "YUST".

A.Ksenofontov explains: "The indicated cause for dismissal is not stipulated by law. Therefore, one may say that this dismissal is illegal. The labor inspectorate rather cannot restore the employee to his position, because a labor inspectorate can restore the employees’ violated rights only if there are obvious, apparent breaches. However, the matter of bringing the employer to administrative liability may be raised”.
