Lawyers at the Law Firm “YUST” have successfully represented the Russian Football Premier League in a dispute with Rosgosstrakh OJSC

Rosgosstrakh OJSC filed a claim with the Court of Arbitration of the City of Moscow, demanding to exact penalty in the amount of 616 175 000 roubles for a breach by NCP RFPL of a sponsorship contract executed between Rosgosstrakh OJSC, NCP RFPL and the Russian Football Union (RFU) in 2006. The contract included an obligation of NCP RFPL to place advertising material of Rosgosstrakh OJSC on the stadiums during Premier League games of the Russian Football Championship, during television broadcasts of the games and sports programs.

Protracted negotiations resulted in a settlement agreement, favourable to the interests of both parties.

The Court of Arbitration of the City of Moscow, on August 31, 2011, approved the settlement agreement of the parties as submitted by them.

Lawyers at the Firm, together with the in-house counsel, developed the legal arguments of NCP RFPL in relation to the claim and represented both NCP RFPL and RFU in the Court of Arbitration of the City of Moscow in the course of legal proceedings.
