Lawyers at the Law Firm "YUST" took part in a forum organized by the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO)

Mikhail Prokopets, Senior Lawyer at the Law Firm "YUST", was invited by the administration of MGIMO to speak at the forum “Sports and Education: problems and prospects of educating sports industry managers” as moderator of the plenary session “Sports law: international and Russian experience”. Dmitry Zhubrin took part in the forum as a listener.

The Forum was held as a preparative event for the MBA program “International business and management in sports industry”, which takes off in MGIMO in 2011. Persons interested in taking the MBA program as well as representatives of sports organizations, sports managers and lawyers participated in the event.

The discussion at the plenary session focused on sports law education and included such issues as the existence of sports law as a branch and a scientific discipline, the development of the sports law in connection with large international sports events to take place in the Russian Federation (the Olympic Games of 2014 and the World Soccer Championship of 2018). The most topical current problems of sports law and possible solutions were discussed, as well as problems of employment for young sports law specialists.

Mikhail Prokopets and Dmitry Zhubrin received written commendations for participating in the forum.
