Dmitry Seregin, Adviser to the Law Firm “YUST” and Patent Attorney of the Russian Federation, commented for the Rossiyskaya Gazeta on the fact that Renault Russia filed a trademark application with the Rospatent concerning the Moskvich trademark: "If a sociological survey shows that the consumers are being misled by the use of the Moskvich trademark on a car, which is not a successor of the Soviet-made Moskvich cars, the issue of a ban on such actions as dishonest competition may arise ".
