The court explained how to punish corrupt officials

The Supreme Court explained how to apply the legal norms on bringing officials to disciplinary liability for corruption deeds. Rossiyskaya Gazeta tells about the respective Survey of the court practice of the last two years.

The law establishes an entire load of bans and limitations for officials, locally as well as at the federal level. For example, they may not have accounts in foreign banks. They must give accounts of their income, property and expenses. Besides, public servants must not allow any conflicts of interests, that is – personal interest in the results of their actions. They may be brought to disciplinary liability, up to dismissal, for a breach of these requirements.
