The Law Firm "YUST" and Meritas: a new level of consultations in foreign jurisdictions

A presentation of Meritas: Law Firms Worldwide was held in Moscow on September 20. Tanna Moore, President of the Association, and Michael Faulkner, Development Adviser, gave the presentation for advocates and lawyers of the Law Firm "YUST".

This year, the Firm has joined the organization, thus becoming the Russian member of Meritas: Law Firms Worldwide.

Tanna Moore, President of the Association, says that many foreign lawyers showed their interest in the work of the Firm and suggested that cooperation with the Firm be initiated within the organization. Meritas management received many positive references regarding the activity of the Firm in the spheres of corporate, tax, antitrust law, M&A etc.

Creation of a highly efficient and client-friendly legal service in various jurisdictions of the world is one of the main objectives of the cooperation. Meritas currently integrates 179 law firms of 78 countries of the world, of which 28 – in Europe. There are member firms in each of the 50 states of the USA and in each of the 10 provinces of Canada.

Before the management of the Association invites a firm to join Meritas, it conducts a thorough analysis of its activity.

Another advantage of Meritas is the use of modern technologies in order to increase the efficiency of servicing member firms. A special application for mobile appliances was developed in the last years, which allows to receive answers to any legal questions within the shortest period, no matter how far away from each other the firms are located.

The management of the Firm and of Meritas also managed to discuss the near future plans for active cooperation within the Association.
