The Law firm "YUST" took part in the Russo-German round table (St. Petersburg, May 31^st, 2010)

The event was held on the 31^st of May in St. Petersburg. It was moderated by IRZ Foundation, the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of Russia, the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of the Federal Republic of Germany, with assistance from the Chamber of Lawyers of the Leningrad region and the Chamber of Lawyers of St. Petersburg.

President of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of Russia Mr. Evgeny Semenyako and Executive Director of IRZ Foundation Mr. Mathias Weckerling addressed the participants with a complimentary speech.

Mr. Axel Filges, President of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of Germany, and Mr. Evgeny Semenyako, President of the Federal Chamber of Lawyers of Russia, spoke on the topical problems and tasks of advocacy.

Mr. Frank Engelman, President of the Chamber of Lawyers of the Land of Brandenburg, and Mr. Henry Reznik, President of the Chamber of Lawyers of Moscow dedicated their speeches to the matters of attorney-client privilege in Germany and Russia as well as the issues of confidence between advocate and client as the cornerstone of advocacy. Contributions were also made by Mrs. Heide Sandkuhl, member of the Penal Law Commission of the Lawyers’ Union of Germany, and Mr. Grigory Kopylovsky, member of the Chamber of Lawyers of St. Petersburg.
