“YUST” is the first Russian law firm awarded the RAPSIUS award
The Second International Law Congress “Dailogues about the Future” was held in Moscow. Over 250 Russian and foreign experts – representatives of the Russian courts, law firms, state, commercial and public organizations – took part in the event. At the opening ceremony of the Congress, Vitaly Ushkanov, General Director of the Russian Agency of Legal and Judicial Information, declared the names of laureates of the RAPSIUS award – a professional award for Russian courts, law firms, state and public organizations, business institutions and separate personalities in the law and judicial spheres, who significantly contribute to the development of legal literacy and legal awareness.
In the Justice of Peace category, the award “For fidelity to Justice” went to Alexey Istomin, judge of the Magistracy 157 of the Odintsovo district of the Moscow Region.
Advocate Henry Reznik received the award “For the development of legal literacy and contribution to the legal profession”.
The Law Firm "YUST" was awarded the award “For contribution to the development of the legal market of the Russian Federation”.
Evgeny Sukhanov, Head of the Chair of Civil Process of the Law Faculty of the MSU became the winner in the special nomination “Law Award”, which is given for significant contribution to the development of legal literacy and legal awareness of the citizens of Russia.
RAPSI and RIA Novosti agencies are the founders of the award, and its information partners are: “Corporate Lawyer” magazine, “Novaya Advokatskaya Gazeta (New Advocate’s Newspaper”, Zakon.Ru, “Ezh Yurist (Ezh Lawyer)” newspaper, legal TV channel “Zakon-TV”, “Sudia (Judge)” magazine.

Among the members of the discussion were: Georgy Smirnov, Senior Inspector of the Chief Organizational and Inspection Department of the Investagion Committee of Russia; Advocate Henry Reznik; Advocate Igor Pastukhov, Tax Advisor of the Law Firm "YUST"; Advocate Viacheslav Leontiev, Managing Partner of the Advocates’ Bureau “Leontiev and Partners”; Evgeny Tarlo, Member of the Council of Federation of Russia.

During the session “Modernization of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation” the Firm was represented by Evgeny Zhilin, Associated Partner, who accentuated the advantages as well as the drawbacks of the “new CC”. The session was moderated by Anton Ivanov, Chairman of the Higher Court of Arbitration of Russia, and Andrey Goltsblat, Managing Partner of Goltsblat BLP. Sergey Sarbash, Chairman of the Jury of the Higher Court of Arbitration of Russia, Professor Evgeny Sukhanov, Alexandra Nesterenko, Chairman of the NP “Association of Corporate Lawyers” and others participated in the discussion.
