Zhirkov’s case: Moscow City Court left the first instance ruling in the favor of the player in force

On October 04, 2012, the Moscow City Court dismissed the appeal by Victor Halapurdin, a football agent, on the case of exaction of the agent’s remuneration from Yury Zhirkov, player of the Russian national team and Anji FC.

Y.Zhirkov has won in all existing instances, football and public, in consecutive order, with the exception of the first football instance. The RFU Dispute Resolution Chamber obliged the player to pay the agent’s remuneration in the total amount of 110 million roubles, as demanded by the claimant. Yury Zhirkov appealed to the Status Committee of the RFU, which revoked the Chamber’s decision.

After that, Victor Halapurdin resorted to a common law court, which ruled his demands unfounded and dismissed them. The Moscow City Court upheld the conclusions of the first instance court and dismissed the sports agent’s claim.

Thus, the court ruling to dismiss V.Halapurdin’s claim has entered into legal force.
