Defense of a federal public official charged with the crimes under part 4 of Article 159 of the PCRF

Since 2007 till 2013, specialists of YUST defended a federal public official charged with the crimes under part 4 of Article 159 of the PCRF (serious fraud), part 5 of Article 33, subclauses «в», «г» of part 4 of Article 290 of the PCRF (complicity in bribery), part 3 of Article 30, part 5 of Article 33, subclauses «в», «г» of part 4 of Article 290 of the PCRF (attempted complicity in bribery), part 3 of Article 30, part 4 of Article 159 of the PCRF (attempted serious fraud), Article 289 of the PCRF (illegal involvement in business).

In the course of the defense, the prosecution on all corpus delicti but one was terminated pursuant to clause 2 of part 1 of Article 24 of the PPCRF (in the absence of crime in the act). Only one corpus delicti currently remains – part 5 of Article 33, part 3 of Article 30, part 4 of Article 159 of the PCRF – complicity in attempted fraud by a group of persons by previous concert.

The initial restraint in the form of custodial placement was replaced by bail after 12 months.

The case is currently in trial.
