MSAL Round table: topical matters of the Bar and the Notary

A round table dedicated to topical matter of the Bar and the Notary was held within the framework of the Oleg Kutafin readings in the Oleg Kutafin MSAL on April 3^rd of 2014.

The round table was moderated by Yury Pilipenko, Senior Partner of the Law Firm "YUST", First Vice-President of the Federal Chamber of Advocates. In his report, he dwelt on the topical matters of the advocates’ remuneration for the qualified legal assistance rendered by them, including the “success fee”, and the remuneration for legal assistance by appointment. Y.Pilipenko also presented the study of the rates for rendering free legal assistance by advocates in foreign countries and expressed his hopes that the respective amounts in Russia will become more fair and more in proportion with the professional level of the members of the advocates’ corporation.

Advocate Vasily Raudin, Head of the Bankruptcy Group of the Law Firm "YUST", also took part in the event. He spoke on the practice of application of the new edition of the Advocate’s Code of Professional Ethics.
