V All-Russian Conference for young scientists in comparative legal science

On May 16-17, the V All-Russian Conference for young scientists in comparative legal science, which annually gathers more than 100 participants from different universities of Russia, took place in the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
YUSt Law Firm was a partner of the conference for the fifth time.
Due to five-year anniversary of the conference it was decided to expand its format and hold it on two days.
On the first day (May 16) the opening ceremony and granting awards to the winners of the competition of works in comparative law from the sponsors and partners of the conference (this year they were YUST, DLA Piper, PTi Lawyers, МЗС, ConsultantPlus) and two round tables (workshops) on the Civil Code reform and on the main provisions of new arbitration legislation, took place.
On the second day (May 17th) traditional sessions of speakers were held (corporate law, contracts law, other issues of civil law, criminal law and procedure, constitutional administrative, financial law - all matters in the comparative aspect). For the first times two sessions were held in foreign languages - English and German.
Managing partner of YUST Law Firm Evgeny Zhilin made a welcome speech and spoke about the role of comparative legal science and about importance and practical value of researching foreign law. The moderator of the round table on main provisions of the Civil Code reform was senior lawyer of YUST Law Firm Maxim Mezentsev.
