Advocates and lawyers of the Law firm “YUST” took part in the work of the congress of the Association of Lawyers of Russia.

The participants of the congress discussed questions connected with the activity of the Association, and also current issues of jurisprudence.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Association, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, D.A. MEDVEDEV, raised a number of issues concerning improvement of current legislation and the matter of general correspondence between legislative acts.

It was noted that one of the most important steps in the development of Russian legislation in the past year was the codification of civil legislation and the coming into effect on 01.01.2008 of the fourth part of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, governing relations in the sphere of intellectual property.

Furthermore, the participants discussed matters concerning the forthcoming presidential election in the Russian Federation. Acting on the proposal by the Rector of the Moscow State Law Academy, O.E. Kutafin, the participants of the congress supported the nomination of D.A. Medvedev as a candidate for the post of President of the Russian Federation.
