The penalty for a rowdy in an airplane can be increased 10 times, its size will reach 20-40 thousand rubles. In addition, there may be a separate punishment for petty hooliganism in transport with a fine of 30 to 50 thousand rubles. Corresponding amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses intend to support today the government commission on legislative work. The document has already been agreed with the Ministry of Transport, the Investigation Committee, the Prosecutor General's Office and the State and Legal Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation.

Partner of the "YUST" Law firm Alexander Bolomatov noted in his commentary to the newspaper "Izvestia" that the appearance of a separate punishment for petty hooliganism in transport can lead to negative consequences. In his opinion, in the end there will be more opportunities to treat this or that violation as administrative or criminal. This may increase corruption risks, Alexander believes.
