Bankruptcy of Andrei Chernyakov, former Head of Research and Production Association “Kosmos”
Andrei Chernyakov, whose property and accounts have been arrested in Dubai, is the former Head of Research and Production Association “Kosmos”, who is also wanted by the Ministry of the Interior Ministry of Russian Federation for embezzlement. Consequently, Bank of Moscow, being the injured party, is now striving for the decision of Meschanskiy District Court of Moscow to be recognized in the amirate, and this decision is obliging Mr. Chernyakov as a guarantor to pay 3 billion rubles. Meanwhile, in the UK, property of ex-oligarch’s family, which was arrested earlier, has been auctioned off. Creditor’s seven-year old Rolls-Royce brought him 101 thousand pounds. In turn, the protection of Andrei Chernyakov claims that the Bank accrued enough assets of Research and Production Association to cover all his debts on loans.
Alexander Bolomatov, partner of YUST Law Firm, spoke on the air of radio station “KommersantFM”, noting that Andrei Chernyakov is very much likely to repay the debt to the Bank of Moscow, because foreign courts are willing to recognize and enforce the decisions of the Russian courts”.
