Meeting with the Chairman of the composition of the court for labor and social matters of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, Boris Alexandrovich GOROKHOV

On 18 January 2006, attorneys of the Bar Association of the Moscow Region “Law firm “YUST” participated in a meeting with the Chairman of the composition of the court for labor and social matters of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, Boris Alexandrovich Gorokhov, held under the aegis of the Federal Chamber of Advocates of the Russian Federation as part of the Chamber’s program for raising the qualifications of Russian lawyers.

In his address, B.A. Gorokhov touched upon the more current issues of labor law, including those arising in the Resolution № 2 of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the RF of 17.03.2004 “On the application of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation by the courts of the Russian Federation.”

In the course of the meeting, the attorneys and the Chairman of the composition of the court for labor and social matters of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation discussed the legal application of such institutions as the labor contract, including its conclusion, alteration and termination, reinstatement at work and other issues of current interest. Participation in this meeting granted practicing attorneys a unique opportunity to acquaint themselves with the position of the court on the more complex and ambiguously interpreted problems of the order of resolution of labor disputes.
