On 16 May, 2008, Dmitry SEREGIN, the Head of Intellectual Property Department of the Law Firm "YUST", was registered as Patent Attorney of the Russian Federation.

From the moment of registration, Dmitry SEREGIN has the right to exercise patent attorney powers. According to Art. 1247 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, a transaction with federal executive agency of intellectual property can be executed by applicant, rightholder, by other interested person on his own or via a patent attorney registered in the specified federal agency, or via other representative. Those citizens, who permanently reside abroad the Russian Federation, as well as foreign legal entities, should transact with federal executive agencies of intellectual property only via patent attorneys.
