Real estate law: burden for economy, obstacle for progress

Lack of legal mechanisms leads to financial instability of real estate developers and increase in the number of hoodwinked investors. Dmitry Zheleznov, lawyer of Real estate and Construction practice of YUST Law Firm, told Pravo.ru portal about the main disadvantages of real estate law and ways of their improvement: "Many municipalities have no regulation of land use and development, which causes a lot of conflicts. In particular, sometimes it is hard to determine the area of land necessary for operation of a certain real estate item. Their owners often manage to obtain large land plots as property, which is later challenged by public prosecution. On the other hand, there are a lot of refusals".
