Russians will have the obligation to report marriage and children abroad

Lawyer of family and inheritance law practice Svetlana Burkanova gave her commentary to Kommersant FM radio station on the initiative of the Ministry of Finance that Russian citizens will have the obligation to report marriage abroad: "Russian Federation citizens have the right to marriage in a foreign country. Accordingly, in the foreign state the Russian citizen will be considered married. After crossing the border, this citizen will be considered single in the Russian territory due to the lack of information about his marriage or children in information registers of civil registry offices. Such citizens may abuse the rights of third persons, a second marriage case may arise".
