The YUST expansion continues into Hong Kong

Russian advocates and their solicitor colleagues from Hong Kong for the first time in history have agreed to cooperate. Yury Pilipenko, President of the Federal Chamber of Advocates (FCA) of Russia, and Stephen Hung, President of the Law Society of Hong Kong, signed the respective agreement on May 6.

Senior Partner of the Law Firm "YUST" Yury Pilipenko, Partner of the Firm Alexander Bolomatov and Senior Associate Maxim Mezentsev took part in the anniversary conference of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA), which was held during that period.

We point out that over 1000 advocates and in-house counsels from all over the world, whose professional interests lie in the Asian Pacific region, attended the Conference. It is noteworthy that Russian lawyers used to have no notable presence there. The Law Firm "YUST" got acquainted with the IPBA practice, and the YUST representatives met many European and Asian colleagues here, whom they already knew from other organizations and joint projects.

Besides the participation in the events (mostly organized by the Dispute Resolution Committee), our advocates met with the representative of the Korean Bar Association (KBA) to discuss the schedule of holding joint events in Russia by the Korean and Russian advocates. We remind that the Law Firm "YUST", acting in a strategic alliance with its colleagues from Jipyong, has since 2015 been expanding the scope of its services for Korean clients in Russia and for Russian clients in South Korea. YUST intends to expand its presence in the Asian Pacific, and the visit to Hong Kong was yet another step towards this goal.
