Meeting of the Experts’ Councils under the FAS

Dmitry Seregin, Adviser to the Law Firm “YUST”, took part in the joint meeting of the Experts’ Councils under the FAS on application of the advertisement legislation and the laws on dishonest competition.
The following matters were suggested for consideration to the Council members: advertising of alcohol-free beer (the laws limit the placement of advertising of alcoholic beverages); advertising of non-prescribed medicine, whose package is similar to the package of a prescribed medicine, and the manes of both medicines are identical (the legislation does not allow advertising of prescribed medicine as well as hidden advertising of prescribed medicine as non-prescribes medicine). Besides, the experts also dealt with the question of assessment of compliance with the honesty requirements in the course of the campaign of attraction of new customers held by the Tele2 mobile communications operator.
