Italian and Russian experts discussed how to protect the cultural values of 22 March 2013 in Rome hosted the III road conference under the auspices of the St. Petersburg international legal forum. Italian and Russian experts discussed including the legal protection of monuments of culture and art. At the conference by senior partner of the Law firm «YUST», Director of the Institute of state and law, Russian Academy of Sciences Andrei Gennadievich Lisitsyn-Svetlanov. The first session of «Justice and the economy: reform of the business environment in the Russian Federation» was held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of justice of the Russian Federation Yuri Sergeevich Lyubimova. The discussion was attended by representatives of the Ministry of economic development of Italy, the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation, Confederation «Конфиндустрия» (Italy), the Federal tax service of the Russian Federation. Closing the session, their practical experiences shared by the representatives of the company «Indesit», an Italian law firm «Pavia e Ansaldo» and «Enel OGK-5, one of the leaders of the Russian energy sector. Vice-President of the superior Council of magistrates, Supreme constitutional court) Italy Michele Вьетти said: «Our countries need to share solution that enriches our experience and improves the functioning of the judicial system in both States. Our countries are ready to modernize the judicial system, and we have a program for the exchange of judges, which allows to cooperate in this direction». In the framework of the second session of the cultural heritage Protection: legal regulation in the Russian Federation and in Italy» were made by eminent experts on this issue: representatives of the Ministry for cultural heritage and activities of Italy, the Institute of state and law, Russian Academy of Sciences, and Professor of the University of Rome «La Sapienza» Lorenzo Казини. Andrei Gennadievich Lisitsyn-Svetlanov, delivered a report on the legal regulation of international trafficking in cultural property. The report noted the problem of preservation, the problem of the adequate determination of jurisdiction and applicable law on disputes concerning cultural heritage objects of state property, and the value of international agreements as a tool capable to solve conflicts that have faced practice lately.
