Medical examinations in the pre-trial prisons. Round table

One of these days, the Moscow City Duma will discuss the procedure of operation of special medical commissions for medical examination of prisoners. This was suggested by the Public commission on cooperation with the judges’ community of Moscow. The following questions are scheduled for discussion at the round table “Medical examinations in the pre-trial prisons” organized by RAPSI:

Of whom will the medical commissions for medical examination of the pre-trial prisons’ inmates consist?
How will the medical examinations of the inmates be conducted?
Should the list of illnesses, accused having which cannot be imprisoned, be expanded?

The participants will also study the foreign experience of treatment of imprisoned respondents.
