Seminar held by YUST Law Firm for Gazpromneft company on amendments to Russian Civil Code

A closed seminar for corporate lawyers from companies of Gaspromneft holding took place on April 28th. The subject of the seminar was “Current amendments to the Russian Civil Code regarding transactions, obligations and contracts”. The event was prepared and held by the team of specialists of YUST Law Firm in the premises of Gazprom-Center LLC in St. Petersburg.
The materials of the seminar provoked a keen response of the colleagues from the oil company. After the main part, clarifying questions were answered, followed by a discussion. In particular, some of the issues discussed were applicability of the loss recovery institute under certain circumstances, as well as practical aspects of using the option mechanism in structuring transactions with certain types of property.
Roman Cherlenyak, head of corporate and contract practice of YUST Law Firm, underlined that the seminar is aimed not only at clarifying the amendments to the Civil Code, but also at soonest possible application of the new provisions to internal work processes of the oil company.
