Specialists of the Law Firm "YUST" took part in the meeting of the section “Legal protection of results of intellectual activity and means of individualization”

Specialists of the Law Firm "YUST" took part on April 21 in the meeting of the section “Legal protection of results of intellectual activity and means of individualization” at the Institute of State and Law of the RAS. The meeting occurred within the framework of the VIII International Forum “Intellectual property – XXI century”.

Partner of the Firm Аnna Kotova-Smolenskaya delivered a report on the subject “Expert’s study of the rights to the results of intellectual activity during implementation of investment projects, discovery and assessment of risks in consideration of the topical court practice”.

Head of the Intellectual Property Group of the Firm Denis Shumskiy told about the practical aspects of protection of the rights to trademarks, gave a study of topical matters and assessed the perspectives in the light of the amendments to Part IV of the CCRF.

Over two thousand people took part in the work of 25 breakaway sections and round tables of the VII International Forum “Intellectual property – XXI century”, which was held in 2014. This shows that the business needs the Forum, which is, on one hand, due to the fact that the role of the results of intellectual activity in the process of constructing an innovational economy is growing, and on the other – due to the many problems, which require discussion and resolution.

The Forum of 2015 is traditionally held under the auspices of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
