The 15 ISDEF Conference of IT businesses began its work on September 25

Advocate Denis Shumskiy, Head of the Intellectual Property Practice of the Law Firm "YUST", spoke on the subject “Import substitution in the software sphere”. His speech covered the legal grounds for import substitution, in particular – the general policies of the Ministry of Communications, the criteria of inclusion of software in the Russian Software Register and the rules of applying for introduction of information into the Russian Software Register. Much attention was given to the amendments on limitation of procurement of foreign software, according to which, when January 1^st of 2015 arrives, the public authorities will only be able to purchase foreign software if there is no Russian analogue, or if it lacks necessary functions.
