The IV Annual Conference “Antitrust regulation in Russia” will be held in Moscow on October 26, 2012

The IV Annual Conference “Antitrust regulation in Russia”, organized by the Non-Commercial Partnership “Promoting the Development of Competition” and “Vedomosti” newspaper, with the support from the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS), will be held in Moscow on October 26, 2012.

The Conference will deal with the issues of the activity of the FAS of Russia of ensuring the efficient functioning of the commodities markets, prevention, limitation and repression of monopolistic actions and dishonest competition. The FAS of Russia gives much attention to the development of systemic measures regarding changes to the regulation of certain areas and natural monopolies and promotion of cooperation with foreign antitrust authorities in the harmonization of the antitrust legislation with the best international standards.

The Conference’s members will discuss the plans of improving the antitrust legislation and the practice of application of its norms for the purpose of protection and promotion of competition in Russia. Special attention will be given to the discussion of the results of the adoption of the “Third antitrust package”.

High-ranking FAS officials, leading lawyers and economists specializing in the competition law issues are among the speakers of the Conference. Igor Artemiev, Chief of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, will speak on the “Antimonopoly regulation in Russia. Antimonopoly policy today”.

Advocate Arthur Rokhlin, Partner of the Law Firm "YUST", represents the Firm at the event. Together with Sergey Puzyrevsky, Chief of Legal Department of the FAS, he will moderate the session “Court practice of application of the antitrust legislation provisions”.
