Artem KUKIN, Partner of the Law Firm “YUST” was elected as a member of the Crisis Management and Bad Debts Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

During the first meeting of the Committee held on 17 February 2009, the participants discussed the recent changes to the Federal Law “On Bankruptcy”, which came into force in January 2009.

During the meeting an interesting discussion was held where the Committee’s members, invited representatives of the Supreme Court of Arbitration of the RF and officers of various state authorities spoke about the practice of application of the redrafted law, and exchanged opinions in regard to a number of problems which arise when the redrafted law is applied in practice.

Participation of YUST’s Partner in the Committee’s work will make it possible for the firm to obtain a unique access to the summarized practical information on the application of the law, which will provide the possibility to best represent our clients’ interests in bankruptcy cases.
