Associate partners at the Law firm "YUST" Anna Kotova-Smolenskaya and Alexander Bolomatov took part in the 5th CIS Local Counsel Forum in Minsk

The Jubilee Fifth International Forum of Law Firms of the Commonwealth of Independent States - the 5th CIS Local Counsel Forum - was held on June 23rd – 25th in Minsk.

Partners and lawyers of largest law firms of Belorussia, representatives of Russian and CIS law firms, chief executives of law departments of large Belorussian ventures made reports on acute problems of advocacy practice in the CIS.

A useful exchange of views with representatives of Belorussian state authorities and advocate community was held. Mr. Alexander Galperin, Director of the Securities’ Department of the Finance Ministry of the Republic of Belorussia, spoke on development trends of Belorussia’s securities’ market and on implementation of the state property privatization program.

Representatives of the Law firm "YUST" have traditionally been taking part in the Forum since 2006. The Forum participation helps to strengthen business and friendship ties with representatives of leading CIS law firms from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Moldavia, Tajikistan etc.
