Businessmen will not see new tax benefits on regional and local taxes until 2018. Also, introducing new spending obligations of the Russian Federation units and municipalities until 2018 has been limited. The decision was taken at the meeting concerning the measures to ensure the balance of consolidated budgets of the regions, held by Chairman of the Government Dmitry Medvedev on May 21. Ekaterina Boldinova, Senior Associate of the Law Firm "YUST", says: “Optimization of tax benefits on regional and local taxes was declared in the Main directions of the tax policy of the Russian Federation for 2014 and for the planned period of 2015 and 2016, so this decision is nothing to marvel at”.
