Lawyers at the Law Firm "YUST" successfully defended the interests of a public company in a dispute with former employees

One of the largest public companies restructured its staff schedule in order to optimize the company’s functioning. It was necessary to reduce the number and the staff of the company employees, so the staff schedule was changed accordingly.

A number of the company’s employees did not agree with the discharges or with the monetary amounts paid on discharge. These employees filed a claim to the Presnenky District Court of the City of Moscow demanding that the discharges be ruled illegal and the monetary amounts paid on discharge corrected in accordance with their opinion.

Within the scope of the labour disputes’ consideration, representatives of the public company proved that the company’ actions of restructuring the staff schedule and discharging employees conformed to the legislation. Thus the Court dismissed all eight claims laid to the company by its former employees. The Moscow City Court confirmed the legality of the first instance court ruling on all claims filed.
