The Round-Table Meeting was held to discuss and provide practical solutions for applying the Federal Law on Limited Liability Companies (as amended and made enforceable as of 1 June, 2009) related to the notary public activities, interfacing between the notary public and authorities for state registration of legal entities (Federal Tax Service of Russia), and filings of a company for the state registration with the Federal Tax Service of Russia. In particular, the following issues were discussed:

• scope of authority and liability of a notary public in notarizing transactions related to title transfers of interest in a company;
• list of documents required to be submitted to the notary public to notarize transactions related to the title transfers of interest in a company;
• foreign law application by a notary public;
• making entries in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.

The Round-Table Meeting was attended by officials from the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation, the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation, Federal Notary Public Chamber, leading law firms, corporate lawyers.
