Recently there has been an active discussion of the possible return of right holders who ceased their activity in Russia after the beginning of the Special Military Operation of the Russian Armed Forces.

There are no express prohibitions for foreign organizations, however their return to the Russian market may be accompanied by a range of problems, which are associated with “parallel import” of a large number of goods; special regulations for settlements of obligations related to the use of the results of intellectual activity; tax costs due to the suspension of many double tax agreements.

In addition, the possibility of activation of “patent trolls” cannot be completely ruled out.
