Russian lawyers do not wish to conquer Crimea

The lawyers from two small regional law firms – advocates’ bureau South and law firm Business and Law – will be the first to start advising in the new territories after the integration of Crimea into the Russian Federation. They have at least found partners in Sebastopol and are convinced that this is the way to act: the local business has its reservations towards Russian law firms. However, the majority of the large actors do not intend to go to Crimea. Experts say that this is explicable: Crimea is a depressive region with a weak economy.

The Law Firm "YUST" believes that the services of Russian lawyers may be in demand in the new territories, because the legal base of Russia is poorly known there, and the local lawyers will need time to adapt.
