The Law Firm "YUST" receives the National Award in the area of the Bar and the advocates’ activity

On March 28 of 2013, the Committee of the National Award in the area of the Bar and the advocates’ activity declared the laureates of the awards in three nominations – “Triumph”, “Business reputation”, “For honor and dignity”. The Moscow Bar Association “Law Firm "YUST"” was among the winners of the Triumph statuette for professional authority, outstanding achievements in the area of organizing the advocates’ activity and promotion of the exercise of the citizens’ and organizations’ institutional right to qualified legal assistance. The following institutions also received the awards in this nomination:

  • Bar Association of Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous District;
  • Joint Bar Association of the Teeritory of Perm;
  • Bar Association of the Bashkiria Republic;
  • Bar Association of the Leninsky district of the city of Kemerovo;
  • “Oskirko and Partners” advocate consultation of the Saint Petersburg City Bar Association.

Honorary diplomas “Business reputation” for significant achievements in legal assistance, including fee one, considerable contribution to the development of the juridical science, preparation of qualified juridical personnel and high business reputation were given to:

  • Tatiana Butovchenko, of the Samara Region Chamber of Advocates;
  • Alexander Gofstein, CA of Moscow;
  • Josef Silberkant, CA of the Nizhny Novgorod Region;
  • Nikolay Kaiser, CA of Chelyabinsk Region;
  • Sergey Li, CA of Leningrad Region;
  • Felix Nedzelsky, CA of Voronezh Region;
  • Konstantin Rivkin, CA of Moscow;
  • Viacheslav Tsymbal, CA of the Moscow Region.

The sign “For Honor and Dignity”, founded in 2006, is the highest award of the Bar. It is given to advocates with at least 25 years of experience, who have shown selflessness in their service to the cause of protection of rights and liberties of human and citizen, who have produced outstanding works of the art of advocacy, who strictly adhere to the high ideals of honor and dignity of the Bar. In 2013, the following persons won the nomination “For Honor and Dignity”:

  • Henry Reznik, CA of Moscow;
  • Valentin Sherker, CA of the Moscow Region.

The National Award in the area of the Bar and the advocates’ activity was founded in 2008 by the Federal Chamber of Advocates of the Russian Federation, the “Advocate’s Initiative” Foundation of support and development of the Bar and public associations of advocates – Federal Union of Advocates of Russia, Advocates’ Association of Russia and the International Union (Community) of Advocates.

The main purpose of the Award is to incentivize advocates and advocates’ associations that actively support and strengthen the high standards of the Bar, promote the development of the advocacy as one of the efficient institutes of civil society.
