Why the fullback of Anzhi escaped to England from Makhachkala

31.01.2013

“He did not even say good-bye” – these are the words by Guus Hiddink, Head Coach of Anzhi, regarding the transfer of Christopher Samba, a fullback of the Makhachkala club, to the English Queens Park Rangers club several days before the closing of the transfer window in Europe.

Why Samba left Anzhi in such a hurry, despite being paid a huge salary? May the club demand the disqualification of the player, who abandoned the club? The sports observers of the Rain TV channel searched for the answer to that question.

Mikhail Prokopets, Head of Sports Law Group of the Law Firm "YUST", told that such hurried transfer is possible if the conditions of kickback payment are fulfilled. Such condition is frequently an unalienable part of the player’s contract. M.Prokopets gave examples of large European and Russian clubs, which bought strong players in this manner.
