The Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation passed a Resolution on the constitutionality of the Russian law norms in connection with a specific case. At the same time, there is a resolution by the Great Chamber of the European Human Rights Court that said norms are against the Convention on protection of human rights and basic freedoms. Sun Inbev, the subsidiary of AB InBev, one of the largest breweries in the world, was able to defend itself from the claims of the tax officers amounting to 300 million roubles. The problems arose in connection with the royalties paid by Sun Inbev to АВ InBev S. A. for the use of the know-how in the fabrication of brands of beer.
