The Committee on Civil, Criminal, Arbitration and Procedural Legislation of the State Duma prepared the draft Federal Law on amendments to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation for the second reading. The draft, as submitted by the Committee, contains the unmodified corporate agreement provisions, which had caused so much argument. A compromise has apparently been reached. But has it? And what will actually change in the Russian corporate practice, when the new CCRF provisions on corporate agreements are adopted? Will corporate agreements actually function or will they remain a more or less “advanced” fiction? The book “See you in court. 7 scenarios of conflict dismissals with the evaluation of the employer’s risks” was published under the auspices of the “Labour Disputes” magazine (“Aktion-Media” Publishing Group). An article by Radmila Nikitina, Acting Head of Competition Law Group of the Law Firm "YUST", dedicated to the issue of delimitation of competencies between the Federal Antitrust Service and the Federal Service of Supervision in the Area of Consumers’ Rights Protection and Well-Being of Humans (Rospotrebnadzor), was published in the appendix to Vedomosti newspaper.

On November 23, the conference “Top-10: the most topical judicial disputes of 2012” organized by The Moscow Times newspaper was held. Maxim Rovinskiy, Head of Tax and Customs Practice of the Law Firm "YUST", spoke on the key “precedents” of tax disputes of 2012.

An article by Ivan Shiyonok, Advocate of the Law Firm "YUST", on the ways to prevent disputes with tax and antitrust authority after New Year sales, was published at the “Commercial Director” magazine (No. 12, December of 2012).

Vitaly Grebennikov, lawyer of the Law Firm "YUST", spoke at the seminar of the Statut Law School dedicated to the latest trends of competition law. Members of the Higher Court of Arbitration of Russia and of the Federal Antitrust Service of Russia also spoke at the event.
