The Government of Moscow and the foundations of support for businessmen held on November 30 a Conference “Optimization of registration procedures for property titles”. Denis Shumskiy, Advocate of the Law Firm "YUST", spoke on peculiarities of formalizing know-how rights.

Mikhail Prokopets, Head of Sports Law Group of the Law Firm "YUST", gave an expert’s commentary to “Komsomolskaya Pravda” newspaper concerning the rules, according to which the Court for Sports Arbitration of Lausanne will be considering the complaint by “Zenit” FC against the decision by the Committee of Control and Discipline of the Russian Football Union.

On November 30, the ceremony of awards of the winners of the Second All-Russian Competition of Research Papers by young scientists on comparative jurisprudence was held in MGIMO. Evgeny Zhilin, Associate Partner of the Law Firm "YUST", took part in the event and explained why a lawyer needs to orientate himself in the law of different jurisdictions.

The VI Professional Conference “Labour law: topical issues and best practices of 2012” was held on November 28 and 29. Advocate Anna Kotova-Smolenskaya, Associated Partner of the Law Firm "YUST", was the moderator of the session dedicated to practical aspects of restructuring of employment relations.

The Committee on Civil, Criminal, Arbitration and Procedural Legislation of the State Duma prepared the draft Federal Law on amendments to the Civil Code of the Russian Federation for the second reading. The draft, as submitted by the Committee, contains the unmodified corporate agreement provisions, which had caused so much argument. A compromise has apparently been reached. But has it? And what will actually change in the Russian corporate practice, when the new CCRF provisions on corporate agreements are adopted? Will corporate agreements actually function or will they remain a more or less “advanced” fiction? The book “See you in court. 7 scenarios of conflict dismissals with the evaluation of the employer’s risks” was published under the auspices of the “Labour Disputes” magazine (“Aktion-Media” Publishing Group). Advocate Аnna Kotova-Smolenskaya, Doctor at Law, Associated Partner of the Law Firm "YUST"; Tatiana Samarina, Doctor at Law, Senior Lawyer of the Firm; Vladimir Starovoytov, Lawyer of the Firm, were the co-authors of the chapter “Dismissal of the employee for the reason of expiry of the employment contract”.

An article by Radmila Nikitina, Acting Head of Competition Law Group of the Law Firm "YUST", dedicated to the issue of delimitation of competencies between the Federal Antitrust Service and the Federal Service of Supervision in the Area of Consumers’ Rights Protection and Well-Being of Humans (Rospotrebnadzor), was published in the appendix to Vedomosti newspaper.

On November 23, the conference “Top-10: the most topical judicial disputes of 2012” organized by The Moscow Times newspaper was held. Maxim Rovinskiy, Head of Tax and Customs Practice of the Law Firm "YUST", spoke on the key “precedents” of tax disputes of 2012.

An article by Ivan Shiyonok, Advocate of the Law Firm "YUST", on the ways to prevent disputes with tax and antitrust authority after New Year sales, was published at the “Commercial Director” magazine (No. 12, December of 2012).
