The Meschansky District Court of the city of Moscow considered a case of the claim of two passengers against the Open Joint-Stock Company “Federal Passengers’ Company” (hereinafter – FPC OJSC). The Higher Court of Arbitation (HCA) ruled that the private arbitration court under Gazprom, where the majority of agreements with contractors get sent, may not consider disputes, where one of the parties is not affiliated with the monopolist. As a result, Gazprom will most likely have to change the main venue of dispute consideration lest the procedures take years to complete. The traditional release of the “Legal Aspect” program was aired by the Echo Moskvy radio station on October 25 of 2013. The German automobile concern did not like it that the Gazprom’s subsidiary had registered G-Drive brands as BMW has an entire line of similar trademarks. The counsels of the car maker and the oil company employed different approaches to which element – the word or the letter - was the dominating one.
