The award ceremony of the finalists of “The way to profession-2012” award was held on November 1st. The award winners and jury members – professors and practicing lawyers – gathered in the Hall of the Academic Senate of the Law Faculty of the MSU. The MSU graduates, Partner Artem Kukin and Head of Practice of Litigation and Arbitration Alexander Yevdokimov, represented the Law Firm "YUST".

The second issue of Sports Law magazine was published with the support from the Law Firm "YUST" and Statut Publishing House.

The IV IBA Conference “Mergers and Acquisitions in Russia and the CIS” was held in Moscow on October 24 and 25 of 2012. Evgeny Zhilin, Associated Partner of the Law Firm "YUST", represented the Firm at the event.

A conference organized by The Moscow Times newspaper was held in Moscow on October 18. Denis Shumskiy, Advocate of the Law Firm "YUST", moderated the session dedicated to the amendments to Part IV of the CCRF.

Radmila Nikitina, acting Head of Antitrust Law Group of the Law Firm "YUST", gave the daily Internet newspaper ComNews an expert’s commentary on the dispute between the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the shareholders of Vimpelcom Ltd. – the Norwegian Telenor and Weather Investments

The traditional round table, organized by the Labour Law Chair of the Higher School of Economics - National Research University, was held in Moscow on October 16. Boris Gorokhov, Judge of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Group of Judges for Labour and Civil Cases of the Civil Case Board of the SC of Russia. Advocate Anna Kotova-Smolenskaya, Doctor at Law, Associated Partner of the Law Firm "YUST", represented the Firm at the event.

On October 11-12, a meeting of the representatives of member firms of Meritas Law Firms Worldwide of the European, Asian and Middle Eastern countries was held in the city of Istanbul (Turkey). Evgeny Zhilin and Anna Kotova-Smolenskaya, Associated Partners of the Law Firm "YUST", represented the Firm.

The International Scientific Conference “Modern private law in Russia and the European Union” was held in Moscow on September 27th. The event was organized by the Institute of State and Law of the RAS, by the Russian-German Law Institute and Christian-Albrechts-Universitat zu Kiel with support from the Law Firm "YUST". Academician Andrey Lisitsyn-Svetlanov, Senior Partner of the Firm, Director of the Institute of State and Law of the RAS, opened the Conference.

An article by Advocate Tatiana Starikova, Head of Private Clients’ Practice of the Law Firm "YUST", and Igor Kostennikov, Lawyer of the Firm, on the subject of the possibilities of one spouse to contest the transaction executed by the other spouse was published in the Corporate Lawyer magazine (No. 9, September of 2012).

On September 24 of 2012, the Federal Court of Arbitration of the Moscow District revoked the rulings of the first and second instance courts made on the case of bankruptcy of MegaStroy LLC (part of Renova GC). RTK-Development LLC, a bankruptcy creditor, filed for cassation. Lawyers of the Law Firm "YUST" represented its interests.
