Evgeny Zhilin, Associate Partner of the Law Firm “YUST” took part in the enlarged meeting of the Working Group for Corporate Law Development and Perfection of the National Council for Corporate Management (NCCM). The main subject of the meeting was a Bill named: “Concerning resistance to unlawful usage of inside information and market tampering” now communicated to the State Duma for consideration.

Lawyers of the Law Firm "YUST" successfully advised a large Israeli development group in the transaction on the raising of bank financing necessary for developing Russian projects of the developer.

On 18 March 2009, the Fourth Annual Meeting with the State Labor Inspectorate under the aegis of the Association of European Business (AEB) was held. At the meeting, issues arising in the course of inspections currently held by the Inspectorate were discussed. Also, there were discussed issues on the observance of labor legislation in the situation of the financial crisis; in particular, the infringements most often occurring in this area recently and the Inspectorate’s methods of response to such infringements were discussed.

Alexey POPOV, Partner of the Law Firm "YUST", took part in a joint meeting of the Commission of the Association of Lawyers of Russia on legislation in the sphere of defense, safety and law enforcement improvement and the Joint Commission on rendering a qualified legal aid, held at the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on 17 March 2009.

The Federal Court of Arbitration of Moscow Circuit reversed the ruling of the Moscow City Court of Arbitration and the ruling of the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeals on collecting 92 million Rubles from OJSC «Sterlitamaksky Machine-Tool Plant», and sent the case to the court of first instance for reconsideration.

The Federal Court of Arbitration of the Moscow circuit reversed the decision of the Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeals dated 11.12.2008 and sustained the award of Moscow City Court dated 09.10.2008 under which the claim of Regional Public Organization (RPO) «Center for Economic and Political Studies» against the OJSC «Centerstroyservice» for annulment of contractor’s agreement had been upheld. Advocates of the Law firm «YUST» represented RPO «EPICENTRE» in courts of all three instances and succeeded in upholding the claim.

Anna KOTOVA-SMOLENSKAYA, Associated Partner of the Law firm "YUST", as an expert took part in the «Interpreting the Law» TV-program (broadcasted by “Zakon-TV” on 24 February 2009) dedicated to judicial protection of citizens’ rights.

The Moscow City Court reversed both the ruling of the Justice of the peace of magistracy No. 369 of Tverskoy district of Moscow city, and the decision of the Judge of the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow city on imposing administrative sanctions on a vehicle driver, in the form of the driving license deprival for eighteen months. The claimant was represented by lawyers of the Law Firm "YUST".

On 19 February 2009, Mikhail PROKOPETS, Senior Lawyer of the Law Firm «YUST» delivered a report at the International Conference on Sports Law «Modern trends in European Sports Law» held in The Hague (Holland).
